What is, “Your Journey Home?”
We are Real Estate Professionals. It is our business you assist interested people into and through the process of purchasing Real Estate. But, “Your Journey Home,” comes from the heart of personal experience in assisting Young Adults find their way into financial stability and eventually a place for them and their family.
This all started from questions and conversations we encountered with Young Adults who felt they would never be able to afford a home. It seemed as if, “The American Dream,” had died; to the point that very few Young Adults had ever heard of, “The American Dream,” and almost none of them knew what it was. We set out to find a way to give Young Adults hope. Along the way we found there would need to be some thought processes we would need to challenge, but ultimately, we found there is a way for Young Adults, and Others to have, “The American Dream.”
The American Dream
There are differing opinions of what actually comprises The American Dream. Most would agree it begins with the ability to have and control your travel. This often took the form of Automobile Ownership. Next was your ability to utilize your ability to be mobile to secure an income. Most would agree this encompasses your Job or the ability to Own a Business. Finally, the ability to be secure in your holdings, which typically meant Home Ownership.
To Summarize, The American Dream, would look something similar to this:
- Own an automobile and travel unrestricted
- To secure a profitable Job or Own a Business
- Own a Home
A history lesson on the Ownership of Private Property would be appropriate here but the space is not convenient, suffice to say, if you and your family migrated to America the above list was most likely not available where you were but with the promise of hard work and dedication, The American Dream could be yours.
Why has The American Dream been forgotten? in large part it is due to our wanton extravagance. Pop culture has glamorized so many trifles and vanities that we often value our coffee more than we value home ownership. If you think I am wrong, find out what amount of money most Young Adults spend on coffee, drinks and going out to eat per month. It is surprising how much we waste hoping libations will salve our soul.
If you are ready to question your values and begin investing instead of consuming, then you will find The American Dream is not dead and buried, it has been obscured by the well placed marketing campaigns which are constantly bombarding you. You can train yourself to see past the distractions and start down a new path. This path is Your Journey Home!

THE PLAN:
Step 1- Find out where you currently stand.
We suggest you start by finding a Real Estate Professional that has a heart to teach. They will set a time to talk with you and explain the process. In the beginning, it is fairly simple. They will need to ask some personal and confidential questions. It is very important for you to be honest. It is imperative You choose carefully, You want to be certain the people helping you on this journey are professional and have your best interest at heart.
For this reason, we highly recommend you find someone you can build a relationship with so start local, if you can.
Step 2- The Real Estate Professional will suggest you talk to a Mortgage Banker. It helps to find one that has decades of experience. Typically, The Mortgage Banker will ask you to fill out an application. Once again, you will want a Professional that knows their business well and can give you helpful information and can coach you into the next steps you need to take, or goals you need to reach. You will then be on YOUR journey toward buying a home!
Step 3- The Real Estate Professional and Mortgage Banker will be in contact with you, working to help you find the home you need and secure the financing to purchase it. There are numerous steps wrapped up in Step 3. For now, we will leave the complicated stuff out. The Professionals you choose should be working with you regularly and coaching you through each new challenge helping you navigate the hurdles.
