This is where you begin your path to financial freedom

The fastest way into trouble. An exposé on Proverbs 19:2

”Also, that the soul be without knowledge, it is not good; And he that hasteth with his feet sinneth.“

Proverbs 19:2

This passage is linked to the previous section on Proverbs 19:1.

As the first word is “Also,” we see this as a companion, addition and follow up to the idea of it being better to be poor with integrity than it is to lose your integrity to get out of trouble (loose translation).

In this idea we see presented if a person is without knowledge they are in trouble and if that person tries to hurry they will miss their mark, or goal.

I see King Solomon sitting on the judgement seat presiding over a matter where there is a normally good person that was caught in a bad financial situation. They attempted to make it right but did not do their homework and lost a lot of money. The Lenders took him to court to have him punished. Solomon watches the story unfold and feels a bit of sorrow for the poor person which made an uneducated and hasty decision which turned out to be a bad choice. Now they are going to have to pay for their mistake for years.

He sits at his desk that evening musing on the account. He jots down a couple of notes:

It is better to be poor with integrity than it is to attempt deceit to avoid judgement.

Also, it is not good to make a decision with no knowledge of the matter, and the person which gets in a hurry will make big mistakes
