My son, hear the instruction of thy father, And forsake not the law of thy mother: For they shall be an ornament of grace unto thy head, And chains about thy neck. Proverbs 1:8-9
Simply stated, this is an instruction to children: Listen to and watch your Father and Mother because they have learned some lessons and if you learn from them you will be ahead in your learning journey. These lessons will make you look great in society and grow your wealth.
This is also an admonition to Parents. It is your responsibility to study, learn, test and prove knowledge as thoroughly as possible. It is your responsibility to search out answers with your children. This is true education and is the core of our duty as Parents. It is imperative for your children that education should have its base and roots in the home before learning from any other institution.
